May - July 2009 Hello again to everyone. I hope this finds you well and happy in the Lord. God has been very good to us as we continue to spread God Word Thru Song. Over the Spring and Summer months we have been busy doing what the Lord wants all his people to do. (Go out in the highways and byways to spread his word. ) We have added more churches during the summer as God continues to open doors for us. Our Foster daughter gave birth to twin boys during June and even tho they were only 6 months babies the both are doing well and home from the Hospital. This makes 13 Grandchildren for Larry and me. His youngest daughter is due to have a baby in Nov or Dec. Most people do not believe me when I tell them I am a grandmother of 13 and just 25 years old. If you find time check out the site www.Gospelgigs.com . At this site you can sign up to receive a e-mail each week listing all the Gospel Singing in your local area. We are listed on the site and hope to have some songs listed in the near future. Our new CD is selling fast. We have made over 500 copies of the CD and most are sold already. Larry's mom was in the hospital during June but now is home doing well. His sister is staying with her as she is unable to care for her self. We have really enjoyed going to Sunday Morning Worship services at the many churches we visited over the past few months. Many are booking us for Sunday Morning and Sunday Evening Worship on the same day. Our friend Rev. Scott Campbell became Pastor of River of Jordan in Knoxville, TN during July. We wish him all the blessing the Lord has ahead for him and the church. Keep them in your prayers as Scott and the church began their journey together. Also during May Rev. Danny Tipton was elected pastor of Faith Baptist Church. This was the church April's dad pastor until his death on 20 December 2008. Keep us in your prayers as we travel and continue to Spread God's Word thru Song. Until next time may God bless. January thru April 2009 The start of the year we were at New Hope Baptist Church, in Powell, TN. A great way to start the year off by being in church. We did a few local appointments during January and thank everyone who had us out. You can see all the places we were at on the Past Appearance page. During February we went to the recording studio to make a new CD, We call it "I Can't, Jesus Can" which has a new song by the same title on the CD. We released three new songs on the CD and a lot of other good songs. A total of 11 songs. On our first order of 100 CD we sold out within two weeks and had to order more. God has richly blessed us as we travel and spread God's word thru song. We have seen souls saved and many rededicate their lives back to God. Our son, David turned two during February. We got busy traveling during February, March and April and have really been blessed where ever we went. We have added new churches to our travel list and pray that we can add even more during the year. We will come to your church or event any time you would like to have us. We have enjoyed going out on Sunday Morning Worship services and have been to a lot over the past few months. My mom and all are doing well even tho it is a big adjustment being without my Dad here, but God knows what he is doing and we just have to accept his plan. Next month Brian and I have been singing together for one year and hope to add many more years in the future. During May we will be traveling and singing in North and South Carolina and many local churches in and around Knoxville. I thank every pastor, church and all who support us as we travel from place to place. Keep us in your prayers and check out other areas on our web site and tell everyone about the site. You do not have to put the - between AnchorHolds now as we have also purchased the name www.AnchorHolds.com . Our dear friend, Steve at www.SmokeyMountainGospel.com helped us update the new site which will bring you to our web site. Thanks Steve for all you do for us. Until next time may God Bless you and we will keep you in our prayers.
Aug to December 2008 Talking about being slow on news letters I really fell behind the last part of the year. We were very busy singing from August to December. I will not list all the places we were at, just check our the past appearance schedule and you will see. God has richly blessed us with many new churches to sing at during the last part of 2008. We have met many new Christian friends and seen souls on the alter and many saved. We may of been the one to water a seed that had been planted and thru God dealing with the heart they came to the Lord. I am just thankful for all the doors God has opened up for us during 2008. We were involved in Benefits, Outdoor, Harvest, and Watch service for many churches during the last part of the year. I would like to thank every pastor, every church member and all who supported us as we travel from place to place singing for the Lord. On December 20th 2008 my dad, Rev. Brian Rush and pastor of Faith Baptist Church was called home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. He was 50 years old. Please keep the family and also the church in your prayers. Check out our pictures as we have posted a lot over the past few months. We plan to be slow during Jan/Feb 2009 because of weather, sickness and will only take local appointment during these months. I plan to put out a News update every quarter during 2009. July 2008 Hi again, Another month has come and gone. I am surprised at how the months go by so fast. We've had a wonderful time during the month of July. Over the holiday on the 4th of July We went to our camper to spend a quite weekend. It was all but quite as the pastor at the camp grounds had booked the Hoppers to sing at the big tent that night. He asked us to open for them and get the people fired up to worship the Lord. We had a wonderful time that night and on the 5th of July had to be the featured singers at the tent so we did not have a weekend off. Just to see people from all over the USA coming together to praise the Lord was worth every minute. Brian and I have been learning new songs and spend 4 to 5 hours each week going over them. We had a very busy month and seen souls saved and rededicated back to the Lord. We thank every Pastor, Church, Assisted Living and Nursing Home we have visited during this month. Please check out our travel schedule for August and if possible try and attend at any or all of the singing listed. We would love to see you there. Also we are adding new pictures almost weekly. All the family is doing well but Brian Rush (Dad) is going thru cemo and not doing so well. Please keep him in your prayers as he faces this battle of cancer. Until next month keep us in your prayers as we travel and Spread God's Word thru Songs. May God richly bless you in all you encounter and are faced with during the upcoming month. Until next month May God Bless. June 2008 Hello to everyone, As you could see by our travel schedule we were very busy during the month of June. I have made some changes on the web site and added pictures. I will add more as we travel. We thank every Pastor, Church, Assisted Living and Nursing Home we have visited during the month. I hope you keep us in your prayers as we travel and Spread God's Word thru Song. During June we did Vacation Bible School at our home church, Grove Heights and had a wonderful time and seen souls saved. We have added new song to our list and now have over 200 sound tracks to choice from when we visit. Looks like July will also be busy. Larry's daughter had the twins on June 19th, Sara weighted in at 7.8 lbs and Elizabeth at 6.2. Both twins and Misti are doing well and all three went home on June 23th. With the twins we now have 10 grandchildren. Dad, Rev Brian Rush is going thru cemo now so keep him and my family in your prayers. I have a envelope on every page of our web site. just click on it and drop up an e-mail. Until next month, Hope to see you at some of our singings. May God Bless. May 2008 Hello again, Another month has come and gone. I hope you have checked out our Bio's as you can see I have been blessed to have Brother Brian Sexton come and join me as I continue to spread God's word thru songs. We have spend a lot of time working together learning each others songs. We have added quite a lot of new songs and I know they will be a blessing to you and your church. We thank every pastor, preacher, Nursing Homes and Assistant Livings that we have gotten to visit over the past month. May God continue to bless everywhere. Larry's daughter, Misti is still holding off on the twin girls being born but they are due just anytime. Everyone was praying she make it thru May and go into her 36th week. She has done that, To God be the Glory. My dad, Rev. Brian Rush, Pastor of Faith Baptist Church is doing better as the doctors have told him the tumor has reduced in size. He will be going to the doctor the lst week of June for an evaluation and to see what type if any of the cemo he will have to take. I know God is in charge and we are all Winners Either Way. I thank Steve and Carol at www.smokymountaingospel.com for their help with my web site. I have posted pictures of a Benefit for Atlanta Av Baptist that was conducted at Fountain City Lions Club. We had a great turn out and raised lots of money for the Church to install a new roof. Pastor Eddie Seals thanked everyone who showed up or took a part in all the work that goes into ensuring the benefit was a great time for all. Continue to keep pray for us as we travel and do what God has called us to do "Spread His Word Thru Song". Until next month may God Bless. MAR-APRIL 2008 Hello to everyone. She is doing fine with the twin girls due in June. doctors say they may be here during May. Just pray they hold in there until late June. We purchased a home in Knoxville, close to East Town Mall, or as it is called now, Knoxville Center. During June, Tim and Vickie informed me the group would no longer be singing together due to medical reasons. I sung solo before joining the Free Spirits and knew God still wanted me to continue singing for him. Tim sold me all the PA equipment and the trailer and has been very helpful in his support. I plan to keep all appointments previous made by the group and new one's as they are added almost daily. During June Larry and I completed the TN State requirements for Foster Care. Also found out a few days before my last class that I was 2 months pregnant. Doctors say the baby will arrive in February. We have just completed Bible School at our church, Grove Heights Baptist and had a great time. We thank all the pastors and churches we have sung at over the past two months and hope to get back and visit them again. Until next month may God richly bless you.
