THE LATEST NEWS

MAR-APRIL 2008

Hello to everyone.  I give thanks to God first and far most as he has blessed us during the past few months.  During March we sold our home in Strawberry Plains to our daughter Misti and her husband.  She is doing fine with the twin girls due in June.  doctors say they may be here during May.  Just pray they hold in there until late June.  We purchased a home in Knoxville, close to East Town Mall, or as it is called now, Knoxville Center.  We began moving around the middle of Mar and by the lst of April had most every thing in the house moved into the new place.  I was able to travel and sing at many placed during this time.  Larry and I were very busy doing Tax Prep for many, many people up to April 15th.  My dad, Brian Rush and Pastor of Faith has undergone, Cemo treatments and is not doing very well.  Please keep him and the family in your prayers.   I am working with another Singer who I hope will be able to travel with us.  We plan on trying and if God permits and all works out I am looking forward to getting back on the road full time.  We thank every Pastor, Church, Nursing Home, Assistant Living and other events that we have been a part of over the past three months.  Continue to keep us in your prays and we travel and do what God has called us to do "Spread His Word Thru Song".  Until next time God Bless

NOV-FEB 2008

Hello everyone, It's been a while since my last update.  I've taken the winter off from traveling to learn new songs and work with the one's I already have.  We all at our household have been sick as most everyone has this past winter.  As you know we do not travel much during the winter months and really get back on the road again During March of each year.  Larry & I had one more new grandson born on 12 Feb 2008 and our son David turned one year old on Feb 13th. In Jun or July  Larry's oldest daughter, Misti is due with twin girls.  That will give us 10 grandchildren.  If you check our our past appearance you will see that we did some travel during the winter months.  I had a wonderful time at all the places we visited over the past few months and look forward to going every weekend possible.  I hope to add new churches to our schedule this year and will post everyone on the Church Directory page as we visit.  My new CD "Anchor of Hope" is now on our Product page and you can hear a 1 min cut from every song on the CD.  I thank Steve and Carol at www.Smokymountaingospel.com for getting the information on our web site.  My step dad, Brian Rush and the Pastor of Faith Baptist Church was told by the doctor's that he has cancer and it has spread in his body and the doctor's say with treatment maybe two years of life left.  Please keep him, my mom and little sister (11 years old) in your prayers as he begins medical leave the lst of March and starts Cemo.  Please keep us in your prayers as we began a new year working for the Lord.  Until next month may God Bless.

AUG - OCT 2007

Been a little behind on our news updates.  God has richly blessed us over the past 3 months.  I have been very busy traveling to churches, nursing home and assistant livings almost every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.  Did a couple of benefit singings and outdoor singing during the past quarter.  I was busy making my second CD during the month of August.  You can see the cover and hear some of the music at Smoky Mountain Gospel .com.  The link is on my home page.  You can check our our Past appearance page and see that God has kept us busy.  We would like to thank every church, Pastor and other brothers and sisters in Christ we  have met over the past three months.  After November I will be slowing down on my travel until after February of next year.  I hope to do a Watch service on 31 Dec somewhere and will post the information  as soon as I know.  Please keep us in your prayers we travel and do our best to spread God's word thru songs.  May God bless until we meet again.

"Where are we going to church tonight?"  Our son David turned six months old on 13 July and he is crawling now and getting into everything he can reach.  Until next month may God Richly Bless you.

APRIL 2007

Hello everyone.  as you can see from the home page Little David Dean was born on 13 February 2007.  He is now 10 weeks old and I am now taking appointments and I am booked most every Saturday and Sunday night thru the month of July.   God has really blessed Larry and me from the last news update.  We did a benefit singing at Outreach Baptist Church the last of March.  Outreach Baptist was the last service we did last year and the first one after the birth of the baby.  I have a full schedule for this month and pray that I will  be very busy during the year with Gospel singing.    We have enjoyed every church, Nursing Home and Assistant Living we have had the opportunity to visit during this month..   It has been very busy for us during tax season as  Larry and I run a VITA tax site from our home free of charge to anyone wanting taxes prepared.  Please keep us in your prayers.  Had a great time in South Carolina.  Got to spend a week there and met many new friends at the churches we visited.   Looking forward to next month and I pray I will see souls saved and lives changed.  God is still in control.

NOVEMBER 2006

Hello everyone.  This will be my last news update for the year.  As you can see by the December schedule I am slowing down until after the baby is born in February.  God has really blessed Larry and me during the month of November.  We enjoyed every church, Nursing Home and Assistant Living we visited.  Doctor's say I am doing just fine but it is getting harder to sing as the baby grows.  I look forward to next year and getting back on the road again.  I plan to start appointments again the first week of April but will not know for sure until the baby arrives.  It's almost tax time again and just to let everyone know, Larry and I run a VITA tax site from our home.  We prepare taxes and e-file them free of charge to Low income  (Under $40,000.00) We ask that anyone wanting us to prepare their taxes to call for appointment as we do this from our home and try not to have many people here at the same time.  It does get busy but it's a blessing to help others while saving them a lot of money.  We are highly trained by the IRS on all tax laws, changes and updates.  Give us a call starting the 1st week of February.  We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and may the Lord continue to bless everyone.  Keep us in your prayers and we hope to visit your church next year.

OCTOBER 2006

Another month has come and gone.  During this month we have lost a dear friend, Brother Bill Romans who has went home to be with the Lord.  God has richly blessed us during the month as we have seen many on the alter praying to Jesus.  We have been in wonderful services all month.  Had a great time at High Praise Church with over 1200 attending.  I had a wonderful time lifting up the name of Jesus.  I am now six months along and the doctors say the baby boy is doing fine.  He is due to arrive in this world around February 13th.  After November I will be slowing down on appointments until the baby is born.  As soon as the doctor will let me travel again I plan to start bookings as we currently have almost 50 churches wanting us to return.  We thank every church, assistant Living and Nursing Homes we were able to visit during the month of October.  We thank God for every new friend we met during the month and hope to see everyone again during the upcoming year.  Just keep us in your prayers and drop us a e-mail or phone call if you have time.  If you find time check our SmokyMountainGospel.com  (The link is on my home page).  You will be blessed with what you see and hear.  Until next month may God Bless.

JUNE 2006

This is April and I want to update you on what has been going on in my life the past two months.  During June, Tim and Vickie informed me the group would no longer be singing together due to medical reasons.  I sung solo before joining the Free Spirits and knew God still wanted me to continue singing for him.  Tim sold me all the PA equipment and the trailer and has been very helpful in his support.  I plan to keep all appointments previous made by the group and new one's as they are added almost daily.  During June Larry and I completed the TN State requirements for Foster Care.  Also found out a few days before my last class that I was 2 months pregnant.  Doctors say the baby will arrive in February.  We have just completed Bible School at our church, Grove Heights Baptist and had a great time.  We thank all the pastors and churches we have sung at over the past two months and hope to get back and visit them again.  Until next month may God richly bless you.
